My journey at the London School of Management Education (LSME) began in April 2020, right at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting a course during such an uncertain time was undeniably challenging, but the support around me made all the difference. My mother was instrumental in this, offering her unwavering encouragement and belief in my abilities, which gave me the confidence to take this significant step forward.

What really stood out, however, was the incredible support from the LSME. We had to adapt to online learning during the pandemic, and LSME rose to the occasion. They didn’t just provide education—they consistently encouraged and motivated us, ensuring we remained focused despite the difficulties of remote learning. Their belief in our potential was truly inspiring, and this personal investment in our success pushed me to excel.

Once the pandemic restrictions eased, we were thrilled to transition back to on-site classes. The return to in-person learning brought a renewed sense of excitement and motivation for all of us. Being physically present in the classroom and engaging directly with teachers and peers deepened our connection to learning and further fuelled our passion for studying. This hands-on learning environment significantly impacted my overall experience, reinforcing the strong foundation I had gained during the online period.

Reflecting on this journey, I am immensely grateful. While the challenges during the pandemic helped shape me, the incredible encouragement and support from the teachers—both online and on-site—were key in driving my personal and academic growth.

As a mature student, when I first started at LSME, I was very nervous about the new journey of becoming a teacher. It was very daunting. However, as I settled in at LSME, the experience became excellent. The entire LSME Staff have been very supportive. My name is Morgan Fakorede, and I recently graduated from the Diploma in Education and Training (DET) programme at the London School of Management Education (LSME). Enrolling in this program was one of the most transformative decisions I have made in my academic and professional journey.

I chose the DET programme at LSME because of my passion for teaching and my desire to contribute meaningfully to the education sector, particularly within the Further Education and Skills (FES) sector. I was drawn to LSME’s reputation for excellence in teacher training and its commitment to equipping educators with the skills necessary to thrive in diverse and challenging learning environments. The one-year course offered a comprehensive curriculum that combined theoretical knowledge with practical application, perfectly aligning with my goal to enhance my teaching capabilities.

Throughout the academic year, the journey was both challenging and rewarding. The curriculum was rigorous, covering essential topics, such as pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment methods—along with the specific challenges faced in the FES sector. However, the challenges were managed with unwavering support from the faculty at LSME. The lecturers were knowledgeable and approachable, providing guidance and feedback that helped me grow both academically and personally. The collaborative learning environment fostered by LSME enabled me to learn from my peers, sharing experiences and insights that enriched my understanding of the education landscape, especially in the context of FES.

The DET program greatly contributed to my personal and professional growth. It enhanced my teaching skills, deepened my understanding of the educational process, and instilled in me a greater sense of confidence as an educator. My learning experience at the London School of Management Education (LSME) has been very fulfilling. I am forever grateful to the college for facilitating my dream of attaining my Master’s degree in Business Management.

The first day, l arrived at the College to attend my interview for admission, I knew that was the right place for me. The warm reception from the staff on the front desk and the professional nature of the interview confirmed my conclusion.

At the start of my course, I encountered a lot of challenges to an extent where I wanted to give up but the lecturers encouraged to soldier on through various approaches of learning engagements that addressed my areas of concern. The able manner in which my lecturers delivered their lectures was amazing and very educative. They need created a conducive environment for studies with more than enough learning materials to facilitate my work especially my assignments. I enjoyed the programme board meetings to which I was invited as a class representative to discuss various issues being faced by my class. The goodness was that management would act swiftly and timely to address any area that would seem to be affecting the teaching and learning experience of students.

LSME was my second home with a community approach that made me enjoy the family-like atmosphere which enhanced interest in pursuing my studies and acquiring knowledge that led to my successful completion of the MSc BM programme. The school Management were approachable and always ready to listen and guide appropriately in any academic matters.

Today I stand tall and as I am transformed with knowledge and skills. I would like to appreciate the entire LSME staff together with management for the massive support I received during my study. I would definitely recommend LSME to anyone who aims to achieve academic prowess.

I joined LSME in September 2021 on the BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care Management programme. The institution did not only improve my academic abilities but also shaped me in ways I could imagine.

What has LSME been to me? I would say it was a stepping stone to aspire to my own evolution. Every lecture was designed to help me discover features within myself that only education can highlight. Every lecture stimulated me to improve and helped me see the shadows of society that might somehow seem obscure.

A start at LSME can feel like a huge leap, but as years go by, you begin to grasp new perspectives and be instructed by professionals who won’t give up on you until you succeed! 

LSME encourages seriousness and perseverance! I can only be grateful for the diligence of our lecturers, the way they have enlivened simple principles and theories, and how they inspired us to stand up for human rights, continuously reflect on ourselves, think critically, honour humanity, and use discernment in our decision-making process.

Completing the Diploma in Education and Training (DET) course has been an incredibly transformative experience. It has provided me with the essential skills needed to excel in the classroom. The balance of practical elements such as teaching simulations and classroom observations with rigorous theoretical knowledge has been a key factor in my growth throughout this course, and at the same time, receiving constructive feedback from my Lecturer and Programme Leader has been instrumental in shaping my teaching abilities. The entire staff, including the Senior Management, is friendly and incredibly supportive, making the environment conducive to learning. This experience has boosted my confidence as an educator and sharpened my ability to engage and inspire students.

As I complete this course, I am leaving with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement. I am eager to apply what I have learned in the DET course to create meaningful and impactful educational experiences that will help my students thrive academically and personally.

I chose to study BSc Business Management at LSME as it offers a great deal of variety, in terms of the modules and provides an overview of the business sector.

When applying to University I was not sure which area to specialize in but the Business Management programme gave the opportunity to learn different aspects of business management including finance, strategy, human resources, leadership etc.

The way that LSME is set up, makes it easier to meet with new people.

There’s a lot more collaboration within the classes and that has led meeting a lot of interesting people from many different places. LSME provides excellent facilities to widen scope of employment and helps you with making decisions for your future. They offer friendly and informative one-on-one sessions, helping with any questions you might have about placements and graduate jobs.

I completed my Master of Education (MEd) Programme at LSME and I am somewhat taken aback by the self-sufficiency of my degree.

I would like to express my gratitude for the immense support I received from my lecturers, as well as all the staff members of LSME, including the Senior Management and Administration teams.

Apart from attending lectures, workshops and seminars, I had a lot of reading and writing to do with total independence. I could organise my routine and receive support when I needed it.Beyond getting used to autonomous learning, I was pleasantly surprised by how personable my cohort was,as I was surrounded by a close-knit group of extraordinarilysmart, hardworking, and enthusiastic people.

Before I was prepared to apply, I spent months keeping an eye on employment vacancies. I would confidently say that the MEd programme has helped me understand the world around me. Hurdling between potential chances has not only helped me identify CV-enhancing jobs that would check off boxes on future applications but it also made me feel more confident in my chosen professional path.

I wish the course had been longer as this was the most important year of my life to comprehend, cultivate, and become my greatest self in my coursework and beyond.

I kept in mind that my Master’s degree was entirely up to me. So, I went ahead and made this year the most rewarding, exciting, and purposeful of my life with the help of LSME.

I am a proud graduate of LSME. I joined LSME in September 2020.At first, I did not know anything about LSME, but as soon as I applied for the BSc (Hons) Business Management course, I researched about LSME and what it wanted to achieve. I was impressed with the level of professionalism the institution promoted on its website and its student platforms.Although we were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Directors of LSME still took their time to introduce themselves to us through video meetings, making the integration into LSME much more personal.

We transitioned from online learning, hybrid learning, and finally to face-to-face learning through the year, and every step of the way, we could see that LSME’s approach demonstrated that their goal was to support students in accessing all the means necessary to achieve the best results. Lecturers and admin staff were always available and keen to help us; interacting with students, offering advice, providing support, and enabling the best in each one of us, and fought to make me achieve more than I ever expected from myself, motivating me to give more than 100% towards my dissertation. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to them.

Overall, the experience I had with LSME has been magnificent. I will be forever grateful for what LSMEhas done for me.

I recently completed my Diploma in Education and Training course at LSME.I started my first course at LSME in 2019 when I enrolled for a BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care Management.

It was during my studies at LSME, that my career took a turn. Today, I am proud to say that I am a Deputy Manager in a Care Home with complex needs.Thanks to LSME, I also had the confidence to open my own business in the Health and Social Care sector. Now that I have completed my Diploma in Education and Training, I look forward to establishing my own Training Centre where I can train carers on how to become effective and efficient.

During my studies, I received the maximum support from the lecturers and the entire LSME team.I would like to thank my LMSE lecturers for their support during my four years of study. As my mentors, they were responsible for the direction and learning offered at each stage and the overall development of my professional character.

The Admin Team has also been very supportive, and the Senior Management has always been there for us. They organised various meetings to ensure that individual students’ needs were met at LSME.

My academic experience has been nothing less than inspirational. I went to school with a strong desire to learn new things, starting from the foundation year. Despite my initial difficulties, I persisted, putting in many hours of diligence and commitment to enhance my comprehension of the subject.

As the years progressed, so did my results. With each passing semester, my grades steadily increased, reflecting my efforts to master the material. The recognition for my academic performance came as a pleasant surprise when I received an award for ‘excellent engagement’. This accolade highlighted my active participation in class discussions, thorough completion of assignments, and enthusiasm for learning.

However, it was not solely my academic accomplishments that were recognised. Being named ‘Student of the Year’ was an extraordinary honour, a testament to my well-roundedness and dedication to holistic development.
