Course Overview

The Pearson BTEC Level 3 Certificate extends the work-related focus from the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award  and covers some of the knowledge and practical skills required for those supporting individuals with certificate learning disabilities.

Qualification Specification

A minimum of 23 credits for the Level 3 Certificate is adequate but the LSME programme will deliver 35 credits for health and social care staff working with individuals with Certificate learning disabilities. Students have to attend 298 Guided Learning Hours.

Assessment

Internally assessed and criterion referenced requiring a Pass for all assessment criteria.
