LSME Celebrates the Annual Convocation 2025

The London School of Management Education (LSME) proudly held its Convocation Ceremony on 16th September 2025 at the Mayfair Venue, London, honouring the remarkable achievements of the Graduating Class of 2025. Graduates were conferred awards across the programmes. The ceremony was a celebration of resilience, determination, and academic excellence, marking the transition of graduates into the next phase of their professional journeys.

In her opening remarks the Principal, Dr Sarita Parhi celebrated the resilience, determination, and achievements of graduates highlighting how they balanced academic, personal, and professional challenges. The address showcased LSME’s progress in expanding programmes, improving student satisfaction, investing in digital learning and facilities, and strengthening its Access and Participation Plan to eliminate attainment and continuation gaps. With high completion rates and high retention, the Principal praised graduates as ambassadors of integrity, inclusion, and lifelong learning, encouraging them to join the alumni network and carry forward LSME’s values with confidence, humility, and joy.

Professor Stephen McKinney, of the University of Glasgow and Chair of the LSME Board of Directors, delivered a heartfelt address congratulating the graduates for their hard work, determination, and perseverance. He emphasised the power of education, which enables individuals to take their rightful place in society. Reflecting on global challenges, he acknowledged the tragic targeting of Schools and Universities and the discouragement of female education in some countries. He urged graduates to be proud ambassadors of LSME and to “make us proud as they embark on the beginning of another journey.”

Officials from the University of Chichester also shared their congratulatory messages and applauding students for a job well done.

The Former Mayor of Redbridge, Cllr. Jyotsna Islam congratulated the LSME Class of 2025, praising their resilience, hard work, and achievements as a victory not only for themselves but for the whole borough. He highlighted the transformative power of education as a driver of progress and opportunity, commended LSME for its innovation, inclusivity, and role in empowering students with industry-relevant skills, and recognised the institution as an example of success within the community. Addressing graduates directly, she urged them to carry forward their pride, lessons, and connections, to be bold and curious in facing future challenges, and to remember that they are equipped not only with degrees but with a community and a world of possibilities.

Her Excellency, Racher Croney, the High Commissioner of Grenada, gave an inspiring speech, praising LSME for nurturing not just graduates, but ambassadors of integrity who have overcome challenges with resilience. She reminded graduates that while the world may be uncertain, they are now equipped with tools to navigate every step of their journey. She urged them to stay curious and never stop learning, reminding them that their degree is not an end point but a foundation for greater things to come. Quoting a powerful expression — “From the ashes, we will rise” — she encouraged graduates to step forward with confidence, humility, and pride.

The ceremony was also honoured by the presence of Lord Daniel Brennan KC, Member of the House of Lords, as the Chief Guest. He congratulated the graduates, emphasising their importance as future leaders who will contribute beyond national boundaries to solving global challenges. He urged them to “work hard, be kind, serve with passion, and most importantly, stay in touch.”

The Diplomas and special awards were then presented to the graduates. Students who achieved a First Class Honours Degree or a Distinction were further recognised for their academic excellence. This was followed by remarks from selected graduates. The Student of the Year Award was presented to Mihaela Condrea. In her acceptance speech, Mihaela dedicated the award to everyone in the class, stressing the importance of collaboration and team work.

The Executive Director closed the 2025 Convocation Ceremony with gratitude to VIP guests and speakers, staff, families, and graduates, reflecting on the inspirational messages shared throughout the day and urging graduates to carry lessons of integrity, courage, and compassion into their futures. He highlighted LSME’s growth and achievements, expansion of facilities, and rollout of the Access and Participation Plan. Congratulating graduates as ambassadors of LSME, he encouraged them to join the Alumni Network, remain connected, and use their education to uplift communities and live with integrity, while expressing confidence in their potential to shape meaningful futures. “Today we celebrate not just your academic success, but your strength, resilience, and determination. You are now part of LSME’s legacy — and the future you build will also define ours.”

The Class of 2025 leaves LSME with knowledge, values, and skills to shape the world around them. As professionals, leaders, and ambassadors of integrity, they will carry forward the ethos of LSME — to learn, serve, and lead with excellence.
