The end of the LSME 2015/2016 Academic Year celebration was held on 15th of July at the Barking Learning Centre. The event was attended by invited guests, students and staff of LSME. It was student-centered and offered outgoing students the opportunity to share their experiences with existing learners and entertain the audience with short plays, poetry recitals and quizzes.
After a short introduction by the MC, the Executive Director of the institution, Dr Ravi Kumar gave a short welcome address highlighting the achievements of the institution in the last Academic Year including the successful training of Teachers, Health and Social Care professionals and Business Managers. In his speech he highlighted the important milestones including a brief insight into what learners must expect in the next Academic Year. The importance of student involvement in the achievement of the College was strongly emphasised. He used this opportunity to thank all staff and students for their successful contributions and the need to maintain their level of enthusiasm and motivation for the overall benefit of the institution and its stakeholders.
Some prominent outgoing Student representatives addressed the audience with heartfelt speeches on their overall experience in the College from enrolment to course completion. They all expressed their gratitude to the management and staff of the institution for their support and guidance throughout their learning journey.
The students also entertained the audience with a short drama, poems and a series of quizzes, games and music.
The Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Dolly Jackson-Sillah who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the entire student body, invited guests, students and all academic and non-academic staff. The event ended with a delicious buffet lunch organised by the College for all attendees.
