Standing Together in Pink: LSME Marks Six Years of Breast Cancer Awareness

The London School of Management Education (LSME) proudly marked its sixth consecutive year of Breast Cancer Awareness activities, reaffirming its commitment to supporting those affected by breast cancer and promoting early detection and community action.

As part of Wear It Pink event from 3rd to 7th November 2025, students and staff took part in fundraising and awareness activities, including the purchase of pink ribbons and keychains. The week culminated in a main charity event on 5th November 2025, aligned with this year’s theme, “Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters,” highlighting the importance of empathy and personalised care.

The event was officially commenced by the principal, Dr Sarita Parhi, who stated, “Breast cancer continues to be one of the most serious health challenges in the UK, affecting thousands of lives every year. It is crucial that we all contribute, in whatever way we can, to raise awareness and support those impacted. Through collective action and compassion, we can make a real difference.”

This year student representatives played a leading role in the main charity event, taking the initiative to organise the bake sale in a highly creative and engaging manner. Working closely with their classmates, they coordinated the preparation, presentation, and promotion of a wide variety of homemade food items, demonstrating teamwork, leadership, and a strong sense of social responsibility while successfully raising funds for the cause.

The event was more than a fundraising effort. It was a celebration of solidarity, empathy, and teamwork. Both staff and students contributed generously, fostering a spirit of comradeship across the campus. The initiative successfully raised a considerable amount of funds to support breast cancer awareness and care.

Through this meaningful initiative, LSME once again demonstrated its unwavering dedication to social causes and its mission to nurture responsible, community-minded global citizens.
