The Mayor of Redbridge

LSME has officially opened an additional campus in Gants Hill (539-541 Cranbrook Road, Essex IG2 6HE) in a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held on the 6th of September 2019. The event was attended by the Cllr Zulfiqar Hussain, the Mayor of the London Borough of Redbridge, Managers of local business, bank officials and other notable dignitaries from UK business and academic sectors.

The highlight of the event was the very impressive welcome address and opening remarks from the Executive Director of LSME, Dr Ravi Kumar and the Mayor of Redbridge. Dr Ravi Kumar expressed his gratitude to the guests and gave a brief overview of the LSME journey, our strategic development plan, the hurdles encountered in the construction of the premises and urged the local businesses to support the institution to fulfil its agenda for social mobility in the local community. In his opening remarks, Cllr Zulfiqar Hussain commended the College and its governing body for making tremendous progress since its inception. He pledged the support of Redbridge Borough for such a worthy course and sincerely hoped that the borough will continue to witness further growth and development of LSME for many years to come.

Preceding that was the Ribbon Cutting ceremony by the Mayor of Redbridge to officially open the building, followed by a tour of the facilities led by Dr Ravi Kumar. This new facility is equipped with additional classrooms and recreational faculties for students and staff. This new facility will not only improve the learning experience for students but it is also a place where the institution plans to meet its future objectives for improvement in student engagement with employers through its community outreach programmes.
