‘Macmillan Coffee Morning’ turns big at LSME!

LSME’s drive to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and create awareness amongst students and staff, by organising the world famous Macmillan Coffee Morning drew huge interest among students and staff.

The Coffee Morning brought together students and all staff on 12 November to enjoy cakes and treats, of course with tea and coffee and interesting games to keep everyone amused. Some lucky winners took away the raffle prizes while the champs of the games took their prizes as well.

Students and staff made generous contributions towards raising a handsome amount for the cause, which touched all present deeply.

This event was organised as part of the learning experience for students of LSME. It was meant to create awareness on the scourge of cancer and develop sense of social responsibility as individuals. The students and staff team involved in the event were greatly inspired and expressed their wish to have more such events in the future.

All donations received will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, which is the UK’s leading cancer supporter charity giving personal, one to one care and support to thousands of people every day. Macmillan’s Coffee Morning takes place on Friday 27th September, however LSME’s Coffee event took place on 12 November.
