When I worked closely with Dr Ravi Kumar as a member of the international team that steered the Commonwealth Youth Programme (CYP) administered by the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, what impressed me most was his passion and zeal to give leadership to empower young people around the world.

The more I knew Ravi, the more I was also hopeful in his capacity to provide scholarly leadership to evolve a set of core principles that enabled youth to shine in all their pursuits. With his rich cross cultural experience in working with academics and management practitioners from different countries, he was instrumental in establishing the London School of Management Education (LSME) stressing on concepts that help people to be locally relevant with a global imagination. I am not surprised in any way that LSME has within a short period of time captured the imagination of a heterogeneous community of management students and practitioners whose aspiration is to reach excellence in their chosen professions.
